    1. Thank you for the compliment, but there’s a lot to unpack here re body image. Nutshell version: this culture ranks everything, including physical appearance, hierarchically and creates in body image a game that can be won or lost, with winners being rewarded with privilege and losers being punished in lots of ways. Even if you’re winning the game compared to most, the fact that the game exists causes anxiety about how one ranks. It’s perfectionism, it’s everywhere, and it’s not right or fair. “But you can’t lose if you don’t play.”
